A food market at your event venue

Your guests move between six to ten staffed corners. Each corner has its own theme, its own chef and freshly portioned dishes. Guests taste, talk and keep moving. For corporate parties, anniversaries and networking events of 100 to 500 guests, this is the most sociable way to eat.

Each corner works as a separate meeting point. Guests mingle, sample small portions at different corners and naturally start conversations. No queuing at a buffet, no scramble for a seat, none of the "everyone at their own table" effect you so often see at large corporate events.

Why not just a buffet?

With a classic buffet, guests queue, choose from a line of dishes and find somewhere to sit. With 200 guests, that easily takes 25 minutes before everyone is served. And once everyone is seated, conversation tends to stay at the same table.

With food corners, the dining experience spreads across your entire venue. Flow is better, the atmosphere more dynamic and the contact between guests more intense. This pattern works demonstrably well for corporate events where people need to meet each other, or anniversary receptions with guests from very different circles.

Why KOM and not food trucks?

Food trucks only work outdoors and depend on good weather. If it rains on the day, you have a problem. They are often specialists in one cuisine and cannot always guarantee dietary requirements such as halal, vegan or allergen management. On top of that, you are dealing with multiple suppliers, each with their own contract, their own schedule and their own point of contact.

KOM's food corners work indoors and outdoors, regardless of the weather. Our own chefs in our own kitchens deliver consistent quality across all corners. And because we also arrange décor, styling, staff, heating and marquees through our partner network, you get one contract, one invoice, one point of contact.

What makes our food corners different

Every corner always includes a vegetarian and gluten-free option alongside the main concept. Vegan, halal and kosher are arranged on request, included as standard in our partner menu. For embassy events and protocol receptions, this is demonstrably a better fit than individual food trucks.

Our chefs stay at each corner for more than an hour, so there is time for a conversation and dietary explanation for each guest. For 500 guests we scale up to ten corners with double staffing, keeping the wait at any corner to no more than five minutes.

Food corners suit events where social flow matters more than a formal dinner moment. We typically use this format in four situations:

Food corners, walking dinner or buffet?

The three most popular catering formats for large groups, side by side. The right choice depends on the character of your event, the number of guests and whether speeches play a role.

From € 62.50 per guest for 150 or more guests. Includes six corners of your choice, all equipment and décor per corner, chefs and service staff, consumables and packaging.

Extra corner: € 8.50 per guest. Drinks package, 4 hours: from € 27.50 per guest. Marquee, heating, lighting and sound: bespoke pricing through our partner network. Full styling: bespoke.

For smaller groups (100 to 150 guests) we price from € 68.50 per guest with a reduced number of corners and the same quality. For larger groups (400 or more) the price drops to € 58.50 per guest thanks to economies of scale.

A company anniversary with 250 employees, three hours of food, bar with beer, wine and soft drinks, outdoors on your own premises.

  • Eight corners of your choice: 250 guests × € 62.50 = € 15,625 excl. VAT

    How many corners do I need for 200 guests?

    Our rule of thumb: six corners for 100 to 200 guests, eight for 200 to 350, ten or more for 350 to 500. Each corner serves around 30 guests per hour, enough flow to avoid queues.

    Can it work indoors and outdoors?

    Yes. Indoors the corners function as fixed islands. Outdoors we arrange marquees, heating and canopies through our partner network.

    What does a food corners event for 200 guests cost?

    Basic level with six corners and three hours of food: from € 12,500 excluding VAT. With bar and marquees: from € 18,500. Concrete quote within 24 hours.

    Does it work for weddings?

    Yes, especially for weddings with 150 or more guests who want to move away from a classic dinner. Do consider a seated dinner moment for the speeches. We often combine both formats.
