Book before the end of October
The most popular Christmas dates (the second and third weeks of December) are 70 to 80 per cent booked by October. We freeze prices until September and accept new bookings for as long as capacity is available.
After November, a seasonal surcharge often applies due to scarcity of staff and equipment. Booking early also means we can advise on venue selection and programme structure.

Corporate Christmas drinks reception
For companies with 25 to 500 employees, we provide Christmas drinks receptions at the office or at an external venue. We bring wine advice from a trainee wine specialist, and work with menu formats that suit the way colleagues normally interact: informal walking dinner, classic buffet or seated dinner.
Delivery of canapés and drinks to the office is also possible without staff, from a minimum order value. For larger drinks receptions with full service, we work from 30 guests. We are happy to advise on programme structure, speech timing and digital-only versus hybrid events.
Christmas for ministries and embassies
We provide protocol Christmas receptions, embassy dinners and international Christmas drinks receptions in The Hague every year. Our hosts are trained in diplomatic protocol. Our menus meet halal, kosher, vegan and gluten-free requirements without separate contract negotiations.
As house caterer at De Grote Kerk Den Haag, Sociëteit De Vereeniging and Escher in het Paleis, we know venues that are suited to large diplomatic receptions. On request, we can also arrange the venue booking.
Private Christmas celebrations
For family dinners at home, gala evenings, December milestones and Christmas celebrations with a large group of friends, we provide bespoke catering. From a Christmas brunch for ten guests to an extensive seated Christmas dinner for fifty. We bring our own equipment, kitchen facilities and staff, even if you have no kitchen at home or only a small one.
For private catering in general, our focus is on taking care of every detail: one point of contact, one invoice, no separate arrangements for delivery, staff and equipment. In December, the first two weeks are usually fully booked by the end of October.

Can you cater at our own office or at home?
Yes. We bring everything with us, even if you have no kitchen. For Christmas dinners at home we work from 20 guests as standard; for Christmas drinks receptions from 30 guests at the office.
How do you handle halal, vegan and gluten-free requirements at Christmas?
Every Christmas menu includes a vegetarian and gluten-free option as standard. Halal, vegan and kosher are arranged on request. For embassy events and international guest lists, this is standard practice for us.
Can we change guest numbers at the last minute?
Guest numbers can be changed up to 48 hours before the event. Menu changes up to one week in advance. During the last two weeks of December we always aim to remain flexible, but we advise confirming in good time.
Do you have experience with corporate Christmas drinks receptions for ministries and embassies?
Yes. KOM provides Christmas drinks receptions and protocol receptions annually for ministries, embassies and government organisations in The Hague. As house caterer at Nieuwe Kerk Delft, De Grote Kerk Den Haag, Sociëteit De Vereeniging and Escher in het Paleis, we are well acquainted with formal December programmes.
What is the difference between a Christmas walking dinner and a Christmas dinner?
At a walking dinner, guests stand and waiting staff circulate with six courses. The atmosphere is social and guests mix more easily. At a seated Christmas dinner, everyone sits at table and three to five courses are served. More formal, and better suited to speeches and milestone celebrations.
