A royal palace in the heart of The Hague
Escher in Het Paleis offers the perfect setting for an event with royal allure in a museum environment. The 18th-century building on the Lange Voorhout was transformed into a royal palace in 1898 and served as the residence of Queen Mother Emma.
Until 1924, the Ballroom hosted court balls. At these evening receptions, known as soirées, as many as 250 guests were in attendance. Today, you and your guests can enjoy that same grandeur, surrounded by the magnificent art of M.C. Escher.
As an event venue in The Hague, the palace lends itself to a wide range of occasions: from a seated dinner or festive reception in the Ballroom to a private meeting in the Silver Room. Events can take place on Monday from 14:00 and Tuesday through Sunday from 18:00, in line with the museum's opening hours. An atmospheric room in the basement, once the domain of royal cooks and footmen. Perfect for a stylish dinner in a historic setting.
Silver Room
An intimate room in the basement where the royal silverware and porcelain were once stored. Ideal for a meeting arrangement or private dinner of up to 12 guests.
Royal Staircase
Your guests enter the palace via the red carpet and are welcomed in the impressive staircase with champagne and small amuse-bouches.
M.C. Escher Museum
During an exclusive visit, your guests can admire the work and life of M.C. Escher in the palace's magnificent rooms.
